KorTerra Introduces Expanded Mapping Functionality in their KorTerra Dispatch Software
Minneapolis, MN – April 28th, 2005 – In response to industry trends towards electronic mapping, KorTerra is pleased to introduce two new modules to the KorTerra Application Suite, the Facility Screening Viewer and the Dispatch Viewer. This added functionality allows users of the KorTerra One Call Ticket Management Software to view electronic facility maps for screening and dispatching purposes.
The KorTerra Dispatch Viewer aids in load-leveling and dispatching tasks. Tickets are displayed in groups or all at once by their location on the map, color coded by locator assignment. Dispatchers can re-assign tickets and perform load-leveling with the click of a mouse. The KorTerra Dispatch Viewer provides a visual display which simplifies the dispatching process.
Within the KorTerra Facility Screening Viewer, the left side of the screen displays the ticket information. This information includes Location Remarks and One Call Center Remarks which gives the dispatcher complete information all on one screen. On the right side of the screen is a facility map of the ticket location. The KorTerra Facility Screening Viewer allows the user to see all the information in one easy to use integrated system without toggling back and forth between programs.
When the Facility Screening Viewer is used to screen tickets, among the many benefits, the most beneficial is reduced on-site visits; locating organizations are only traveling to sites that need to be located. Also, the swift mapping engine allows you process more tickets in less time by quickly moving from ticket to ticket during the screening process.
As with other KorTerra Modules, the new mapping functionality is simple to use and can be set-up according to user preferences. The viewer can be used to view virtually any map/GIS data.
