Marketing Specialist
Position Description:

KorTerra, a software provider in Chanhassen, MN is currently seeking a Marketing Specialist to contribute to KorTerra’s marketing efforts of in a business-to-business environment. This hands-on role will be responsible for assisting in the management and execution of integrated marketing initiatives, and continue to drive lead generation and nurture prospects for KorTerra’s software solutions. This position will contribute to both current marketing programs, as well as participate in idea generation for new marketing initiatives. The Marketing Specialist must work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to assist in accomplishing a wide-range of marketing goals. Primary Responsibilities:
• Assist in developing, executing and updating integrated campaigns based on metrics. Possess the intellectual and analytical curiosity to determine the effectiveness of tactics by tracking campaigns and preparing performance analysis reports post campaign, making recommendations to concurrent programs for corrective modifications for optimal performance.
• Proactively identify areas for marketing improvement and implement enhancement solutions.
• Develop and update advertising and marketing materials and campaigns including email, web, direct mail, and print
• Continuously update and improve our website and online presence (this includes graphics, content, search rank, lead generation, etc.)
• Promote company, products and website content through social media networks
• Assist with writing and proofing press releases, software tips, and other communications as needed, often utilizing cross-departmental project coordination (Marketing, IT, Support, Sales)
• Work with sales team and customers in developing case studies, references, and testimonials
• Coordinate trade shows and conferences, including trade show materials and booking travel
• Prepare pre-qualifications for current and future bidding opportunities
• Stay current on marketing best practices, including new laws, marketing strategies, etc. to enhance professional development and generate potential new marketing initiatives
• Maintain open communication lines with all aspects of the organization and provide prompt answers to requests and questions in a concise, clear and timely manner.
Qualifications:
• Four-Year Degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Journalism, Public Relations or related field
• 0 to 3 years plus experience in marketing, brand management, communications and other results oriented programs to drive sales
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point)
• Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat is a plus
• Outstanding copywriting and editing skills
• Excels in creative and innovative thinking and problem solving
• Positive attitude, self-motivated, detail-oriented, focused and ambitious
• Ability to prioritize, juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Driven to succeed
• Full of initiative and enthusiasm for learning new skills
• Must have an eye for good visual design and typography
• Strong written communication skills, and excellent attention to detail
• Graphic design and website management capabilities are a plus
• Strong strategic thinking and problem solving abilities
• Ability to interpret and apply customer and market insights to marketing strategies
• Demonstrated ability to function in an independent self-directed environment with strict deadlines
• Professional demeanor with excellent skills: customer service, strong verbal and written communication, and interpersonal
• Enthusiasm and eagerness to contribute to a marketing team on implementation, execution and evaluation
