KorWeb Overview

KorWeb is a web services based ticket management application, built utilizing KorTerra’s extensive knowledge of the damage prevention industry and utilizes the latest Microsoft technology to receive your One Call Locate requests and process your positive response messages.

The KorWeb internet product was developed in response to changes in the One Call industry to meet the one call locating requirements of municipalities, utilities and contract locating organizations.

Each year, One Call Centers across the nation change their ticket formats, protocols and procedures for sending locate tickets and processing positive response. The KorWeb product is an internet based product, providing customers with web ticket management and access to the most current and functional product to complete their One Call requests in accordance with their state’s One Call protocols.

KorWeb is based upon our award winning product KorTerra C/S, which is used by 1000’s of locators across the United States. In addition, KorTerra is able to receive tickets from every One Call Center in the nation and communicates positive response back to every One Call Center mandating positive response.

The KorWeb system is hosted in our tier-1 data center located in downtown Minneapolis, MN. The KorTerra data center is located in a bunker style building, protected to prevent and withstand a multitude of disasters. KorTerra customers utilizing the KorWeb have “peace of mind” that their computing environment is safe and secure.

The data center is staffed and monitored 24x7, 365 days a year. In addition to the on-site staffing, there are a number of system monitors in place which constantly monitor the performance of the KorWeb software and hardware environment. If any process is performing below our high standards, the system notifies our staff of the potential performance issue. This allows us to correct the potential trouble condition before it can become a problem.

In addition, KorTerra performs nightly system backups, rotates backups off-site and maintains redundant server hardware, network equipment and power systems to ensure maximum uptime. We also monitor all communications between KorWeb and your One Call Center to ensure communications are always performing at peak performance.
