KorTerra Selected to Present at the 20th Annual GIS/LIS Consortium Conference
Minneapolis, MN – August 5th, 2010 – KorTerra was selected today to speak at the upcoming Minnesota GIS/LIS Consortium Conference and Workshops. The Minnesota GIS/LIS Consortium is a forum for stakeholders in the GIS community to share information, promote learning, describe implementation and usage stories, and discuss best practices. Members include GIS users in local, state and federal government agencies, business and industry professionals, and educational institutions. Twice a year they host a state wide user conference that features workshops, technical sessions, panel discussions, technology demonstrations, project updates and speakers.
The conference takes place in Duluth, MN from October 13-15 at the Duluth Entertainment and Convention Center. KorTerra will be presenting a 25 minute technology demonstration and discussion. Their session, titled “Integrating GIS Maps with the One Call Ticket Management Process” will highlight the various uses of GIS technology within the damage prevention industry. KorTerra will provide examples of facility maps, which are created by combining One Call Center dig site information and private underground asset data. Users involved in GIS and damage prevention will learn how to leverage their GIS investments to increase productivity and efficiency in their day-to-day locating and screening operations.
