In addition to responding to a locate request through a ticket management system, many locators are using pictures, videos or other documents to record their findings. These files are a great way to prove without a doubt that a location was marked. Handling the physical version of these documents can be time consuming and difficult to track and store manually. Attachments in KorWeb allows you to use and store these files electronically, ensuring they are easily retrieved and never lost. They are directly attached to a single ticket that is being completed in KorWeb, making it simple to find if the documentation ever needs to be reviewed. The Attachments function can be performed in the office or in the field. If a locator is working in the field, they are able to upload photos or other documents immediately using the KorTerra Mobile Client. Electronic documents can also be uploaded from the office in KorWeb. Attaching an electronic document in KorWeb is a simple function for the user to perform. It is the same basic process as attaching a document to an e-mail, where the user browses their computer for the document they would like to attach, selects the appropriate document and clicks attach. All documents are attached to one specific ticket, and will always be associated with that ticket. |
