We have an exciting technology stack that empowers us to do our best work whether in the office or utilizing our hybrid working policy. Software Engineer .NET/Azure

Experienced Software Engineer with experience working within Agile teams to build high-quality cloud-first solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in analytics, machine learning, and data science. 

Roles and Responsibilities

You will be working with people whose passion for creating outstanding software matches yours. As a member of the Product Development and Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for building the underlying architecture upon which the KorTerra software suite is built, including database access, Machine Learning componenet integration and APIs, and data mart design/modeling development and integration. Responsibilities include the following: 

  • Develop high quality software and systems that are secure, multi-tenant, highly scalable, and rock solid
  • Take part in design and technical discussions with multiple teams to tackle new features and resolve software problems that arise
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to your peers

  • Competency in .NET development and/or React

Software Engineer in Test

Description

Software Engineer in Test with a strong understanding of quality, reliability, and scalability, skilled in designing, implementing, and creating tools, automating manual processes, automating functional tests to drive down cycle time and increase the quality delivery of our SaaS products. 

Roles and Responsibilities

You will be working with people whose passion for creating outstanding software matches yours. As a member of the Product Development and Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for building the underlying automation architecture and automating tests to facilitate continuous integration with quality and validation of performance and scalability standards. 

  • Design and execute tests using automated test tools for the verification of software requirements
  • Support test infrastructure set up and test tool development 
  • Take part in design and technical discussions with multiple teams to tackle new features and resolve software problems that arise 
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to your peers
  • Help with software deployments and troubleshooting outside of normal hours as needed

Software Development Manager

KorTerra, Inc. is the leading provider of cloud-based damage prevention software, helping our customers to prevent property damages, injuries, and loss of life during excavation. Current project work includes new development in mobile applications, GIS, IAM, mapping technologies, UC, application services, and much more on multiple platforms including Windows, Linux, iOS, and Android.

What we're looking for 

KorTerra is looking for a manager to lead a growing team of top software engineers building a world-class product suite. The Development Manager is a key position directly responsible for contributing to the success of the KorTerra products and the overall organization. The Development Manager helps advance our software and operations to the next level of quality by leading design, creation, implementation, and operations of mobile and cloud-based products that work in a multi-tenanted, secure, cloud environment. The Development Manager reports to the Director of Product Development and Operations and is a member of the Technology Leadership Team.

What you'll be doing 

  • Lead an Agile/Scrum software development team and drive solutions employing modern cloud technology
  • Have a passion for Agile software development and be continually researching industry trends and best practices to introduce to the team
  • Work with the development team to collaboratively implement process and policy changes
  • Maintain continuous quality assurance and best practice testing automation
  • Work closely with our Product Owners with story refinement and prioritization utilizing Behavioral Driven Design
  • Conducts regularly scheduled one-on-one meetings and performance appraisals with direct reports
  • Work with each member of your team to establish clear goals for professional growth and drive positive outcomes
  • Remain vigilant toward changes in technology, how those changes may impact our current and future product offerings, and how improved technologies may help us to better deliver cutting edge software solutions
  • Leverage Jira and other software development management tools to schedule work, balance resources, and provide post-mortem analysis of our ongoing development efforts
  • Continuously manage the software development cycle and provide detailed progress reporting to technology leadership team so we can be successful in achieving our immediate, mid-range, and long-term company goals

Azure Cloud Operations Engineer

A Cloud Engineer at KorTerra reports to the Cloud Operations Manager. This individual is responsible for configuring and maintaining KorTerra’s cloud environments, as well as ensuring the availability of KorTerra’s applications in the cloud. The CloudOps Engineer will work with teammates and other departments to plan, research, and develop solutions for new and existing challenges in the cloud. This individual will play a role in monitoring system performance, equipment and 24x7 availability. They will assist in ensuring processes are well documented, sustainable, and scalable. This individual will evolve our cloud capabilities over time by staying current with industry trends and making recommendations to help the company excel.

Primary Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Design, setup, configure, and document our use of cloud services in accordance with best practices.
  • Work in tandem with our engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the company.
  • Assist in managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines.
  • Deploy and test cloud initiatives as needed in accordance with best practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Educate teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, provide associated training as required.
  • Triage and troubleshoot escalated issues causing customer impact.
  • Orchestrating and automating cloud-based platforms throughout the company.
  • Stay current with industry trends, making recommendations as needed to help the company excel.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership in cloud computing.
  • Train KorTerra team members on using and administering technologies in cloud environments, ensuring team can monitor, identify issues, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  • Manage both server-based and serverless computing systems including Docker containers, virtual machines, microservices, etc.
  • Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements:

  • Degree in computer science or a similar field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in cloud computing
  • Proficient in Microsoft Azure services, Microsoft IIS, and PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with Azure SQL, MS-SQL, MongoDB, and/or other cloud-based technologies
  • Experience with CI/CD systems
  • Azure certifications preferred

Senior Front End Engineer

The Senior Front End Engineer will be working with people whose passion for creating outstanding software matches yours. As a member of the Software Engineering team, the Senior Front End Engineer will be responsible for building responsive interfaces for the KorTerra software suite.

Marketing Specialist

To build on our current growth and momentum at KorTerra, we are searching for a highly qualified marketing specialist to join our team. From day one, this individual will contribute to existing marketing programs, while assisting with the development of new initiatives aligned with company and customer goals. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with a wide range of marketing functions, including communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, and social media. The marketing specialist must be an organized multitasker able to handle many diverse projects at once and meet tight deadlines.

Serving as the marketing manager’s right hand, a marketing specialist stays informed about the market, industry trends, and the competitive landscape, while helping strategize and implement marketing, branding, and advertising plans. Day to day, he or she may create or coordinate content, track results, build relationships with the sales team, and otherwise support all marketing strategies.

Objectives of this Role

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the company’s brand strategy
  • Ensure all marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term business goals, identifying and executing improvements for processes, content, and lead generation
  • Provide market research, competitive analyses, campaign results, and customer trend data
  • Support the maintenance and development of marketing tools including HubSpot Marketing Hub, the company website, and intranet site
  • Raise brand awareness that drives sales for the company and products. The goal of the marketing specialist is to develop and execute the plans and strategies to accomplish that.

Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

  • Craft clear and engaging content in the form of emails, case studies, blogs, social posts, and additional marketing materials to support the overall marketing plan
  • Communicate campaign objectives, timelines, and deliverables to the sales team, and provide instructions for use or promotion
  • Manage the company’s social media accounts and drive engagement
  • Team up with the marketing manager to evaluate and establish the marketing plan and strategy by setting goals for execution
  • Plan and manage conferences and trade shows by identifying, assembling, and coordinating requirements, establishing contacts, developing schedules and assignments, and coordinating pre- and post-show communications
  • Maintain a directory and inventory of sales support materials, ensuring all resources are current and accurate, and coordinate the creation of new materials as needed
  • Continually seek and research new sources of prospective customer data, and provide recommendations to marketing and sales leadership

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communications
  • Past work experience as a marketing specialist or similar role
  • Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing
  • Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in full Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with HubSpot or similar marketing automation tool
  • Experience with website content management systems, especially WordPress and Concrete 5 or similar
