Software Engineer .NET/Azure

Experienced Software Engineer with experience working within Agile teams to build high-quality cloud-first solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in analytics, machine learning, and data science. 

Roles and Responsibilities

You will be working with people whose passion for creating outstanding software matches yours. As a member of the Product Development and Quality Assurance team, you will be responsible for building the underlying architecture upon which the KorTerra software suite is built, including database access, Machine Learning componenet integration and APIs, and data mart design/modeling development and integration. Responsibilities include the following: 

  • Develop high quality software and systems that are secure, multi-tenant, highly scalable, and rock solid
  • Take part in design and technical discussions with multiple teams to tackle new features and resolve software problems that arise
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to your peers
  • Help with software deployments and troubleshooting outside of normal hours as needed
  • Collaborate with a team of software developers, Scrum Master, Product Owner, and Product Manager
  • Directly responsible for contributing to the success of the KorTerra product and the overall organization
  • Advance our software to the next level of quality by implementing and creating products that work in a web-based, multi-tenant, secure cloud environment 

Qualifications and Educational Requirements 

  • Competency in .NET development and/or React
  • Experience with any or all of the following technologies: Azure, Azure SQL, Cosmos, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Docker
  • Developing RESTful services
  • Developing with source control management tools such as Git and Bitbucket
  • Developing in a team environment using collaboration tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with Behavior Driven Development (BDD) 
  • Writing professional, documented, and tested code
  • Strong analytical and collaborative mindset
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working in a Scrum/Agile environment
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent preferred
  • 3+ years developing software

Senior Software Engineer

Description

Roles and Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer will be working with people whose passion for creating outstanding software matches yours. As a member of the Product Development and Quality Assurance team, the Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for building the underlying architecture upon which the KorTerra software suite is built, including database access, machine learning component integration, APIs, and data mart design/modeling development and integration.

  • Provide leadership and mentoring to other team members
  • Influence the technical direction of our cloud-engineered SaaS solutions
  • Design and develop high quality software and systems that are secure, multi-tenanted, highly scalable, and rock solid
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new products, processes, standards or operational plans that will have impact on the achievement of functional results
  • Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to your peers in an open and positive manner 
  • Lead technology initiative projects of moderate up to the highest complexity which include new development, purchased solutions, and other automation efforts 
  • Collaborate with a team of software developers, Product Owners, and Product Managers during innovation, design, and development exercises

KorTerra helps mitigate risk and ensure the safety of field personnel by providing secure cloud and mobile platforms for processing 811 locate tickets, tracking and reporting asset damages, meeting regulatory compliance, and more.

What you’ll be doing / primary responsibilities:

Compliance & Regulation

  • Plan, lead, and implement policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to help support KorTerra’s HR, talent, compliance, and organizational goals
  • Administer and oversee core human resources programs including compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary matters, disputes, performance management, recognition, HR Handbook, employee morale, and required training
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law

Talent

  • Attraction & Selection
    • Develop, execute, and refine best practices focused on talent attraction, selection, and candidate experience
    • Manage, align, and update new and existing job descriptions for all roles within the organization
  • Onboarding
    • Expand and standardize processes that support organizational, team, and role onboarding for new employees
  • Performance, Growth, Career & Engagement
    • Develop and implement employee performance, growth, and engagement programs
    • Identify and develop career pathways throughout KorTerra
    • Develop new and existing manager training and enablement
    • Recommend and implement employee growth, engagement, and retention practices

Payroll, Benefits, and Total Rewards

  • Oversee and manage payroll, benefits administration, and annual negotiations and renewals
  • Lead and manage the annual open-enrollment process for the organization
  • Develop and align a Total Rewards strategy to balance compensation, benefits, and the employee experience to attract and retain the right talent 
  • Lead annual market compensation analysis and COLA review in alignment with the Total Rewards strategy and talent cycles

Strategy, Communications, and Operations

  • Develop and ensure alignment with executive team across core HR and Talent strategic programs, initiatives, and goals
  • Identify, implement, and maintain needed core HR technologies (HRIS, ATS, Performance etc.) foundational to growing KorTerra
  • Manage and deliver core HR/Talent focused communications, updates, and information relevant to the organization and employees
  • Manage the development and maintenance of human resources content on the company internal portals

Key Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to leverage EQ to develop deeper relationships at all levels of the organization
